Last week, Esperanza High School took 46 Medical Sciences Academy (MSA) students to Sacramento to compete in the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference against roughly 4,000 students from all over California. MSA students prepared for months in an effort to seize the opportunity and earn a trip to Nationals in Orlando, Fla., this June to compete against state medalists from all over the country.
Esperanza completed the competition with five students scoring in the top three to win medals and advance to Nationals. In addition to the medalists, eight others were recognized on stage for placing in the top five in the state. Congrats Aztecs, and good luck at Nationals!
