El Dorado senior Connor Leech honored as Scholar-Athlete, receive scholarship

On Monday, March 20, El Dorado High School senior Connor Leech was recognized by the Orange County Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame at their 47th annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet. Connor was honored as a 2017 Scholar-Athlete.

Sixty-one football players from across Orange County were recognized. The requirement for an athlete to be a part of this special evening was:

  • Senior football player
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
  • First team all-league

Connor has played three sports all four years at EDHS – football, soccer and volleyball. He also has been a varsity player for the past three years in all three sports. He also committed to play volleyball at University of California, San Diego, next year on a scholarship.
