Students gather at first Superintendent’s High School Advisory Council meeting of the school year

This group consists of engaged high schoolers from seven secondary schools, including the district’s four comprehensive high schools. They met monthly throughout the year to discuss issues facing high school students. It was a fitting conclusion to the school year, as well as Dr. Domene’s tenure as district superintendent.

On October 11, Superintendent, Dr. Greg Plutko, hosted his first High School Advisory Council meeting of the 2017-18 school year. This group of students includes engaged high schoolers from seven Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) secondary schools, including the district’s four comprehensive high school — El Dorado, Esperanza, Valencia, and Yorba Linda. Throughout the school year, this group will meeting with Dr. Plutko on a monthly basis to discuss important topics surrounding life as a high school student.
