El Camino Real Continuation High School students from Mr. Petersen’s North Orange County ROP Digital Design and Illustration class showed their stuff at last week’s Gala/Award Ceremony for Exposed: Fresh Perspectives Art & Literature Contest, sponsored by the Yorba Linda Public Library and held at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library. With 14 finalists from El Camino in the Graphic Design category, the Raptors swept the winnings as following:

Honorable Mentions
– Jordan Dahr for “Sitting Back While the Fire Burns”
– Christopher Lopez for “Surf’s Up”

3rd Place
– Bailey Bible for “Fresh Perspective”

2nd Place
– William Alfaro for “Staying Above Water”

1st Place/ The People’s Choice Award
– Sydney Ogden for “Free to Fly” (pictured above)

All of the school’s finalists did a great job.  Their framed artwork hung in the Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda for several weeks, where visitors from all across the globe viewed and appreciated their talents and hard work.  Woot woot, Raptors!
