Bernardo Yorba Middle School’s (BYMS) AVID students recently hosted March Madness College Week, a fun-filled activity week to promote college awareness for the student body, as well as help develop leadership skills for 7th and 8th grade AVID students.
Activities included presentation of “College Fun Facts” during the morning announcements, a College-Mascot Sidewalk Chalk art contest at lunch, and a College Color Corn hole game at break. Some of the school’s awesome teachers and administrators even got in on the action by using the Flipgrid application to film information about their college experience.
The Matadors even made some predictions on which college might win the March Madness Tournament. While the school doesn’t know if their picks will make it through the brackets, BYMS is certain that everyone enjoyed the week and learned a whole lot about colleges and universities!
