For the third time, Esperanza High School’s girls varsity volleyball team has been crowned the CIF Southern Section Division 2 Champions! They also earned the title in 2003 and 2005.

The Aztecs took on Murrieta Valley High School on Saturday, November 9 at Cerritos College. After losing the first two sets of the game, the Aztecs rallied back to win the next three sets in a row! The scores were 22-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-15, 15-7.

“The atmosphere was electric thanks to a great student section and awesome parents,” shared Activities Director, Meghann Lukach.

Congratulations to the Esperanza Aztecs and head coach Isaac Owens on this well-deserved athletic victory!
