Kyle Gabriel, a senior at Valencia High School, has been selected to sing with the California All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble, sponsored by the California Alliance for Jazz.
Sixteen students from throughout California were selected for this elite a cappella group, which will perform on Friday, Feb. 12, at the California All-State Music Education Conference in San Jose.
Kyle has previously participated in All-State High School Honor Choirs in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, Kyle was the only student from Orange County selected to sing in the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) National Honor Choir.
Kyle plans to pursue a degree in vocal performance, and is grateful for the six years of music education he received in PYLUSD.
