George Key School celebrates its Class of 2022

George Key graduation

On Friday, June 10, George Key School held a commencement ceremony for their Class of 2022 graduates—Jonathan Medina and Jessica Fay Patterson—in the multipurpose room at Golden Elementary School.

Fellow students, loved ones, and staff members gathered to celebrate the two young students as Principal Rebecca Allan spoke about both the tremendous impacts both of the students made during their educational journeys at George Key. Guest speaker Renee Gray, the district’s Executive Director of Special Education/SELPA, also shared thoughtful words of encouragement to each student.

The small ceremony included a long list of honored guests including Board of Education President Carrie Buck, Vice President Marilyn Anderson, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Superintendent Dr. Jim Elsasser, and Assistant Superintendent Linda Adamson.

After a video presentation filled with pictures of Jonathan and Jessica throughout the years, their teachers Michele Cardenas and Kelly Lytal presented the students with their certificates of completion. All those in attendance then enjoyed a reception in honor of the two graduates.

Congrats, Jonathan and Jessica!
