Congratulations are in order for El Dorado High School’s cheer team who recently earned the title of CIF Southern Section Champion! CIF-SS had its traditional competitive cheer championships on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Martin Luther King High School in Riverside.
Under the direction of Coach Rilee Bragg, El Dorado won the Division 1AA championship. Other Orange County teams that won championships include Mater Dei, Villa Park, Irvine, Marina, and La Habra high schools.
Cheerleading became a CIF sport starting with the 2017-18 school year. The Golden Hawks also won the CIF-SS championship three years ago when the team’s current seniors were freshmen. Way to go, EDHS!
