Read Across America embraced at Bryant Ranch

Bryant Ranch School kicked off the upcoming Read Across America week with two special events. Students in first through fifth grades had an assembly with author Scott Sussman, who visited the school all the way from Rome, Italy. He discussed what inspires him to write, and shared his love of books by reading “Silly the Seed” to the students.

Families then gathered for a Dr. Seuss-inspired family reading night. The Bryant Ranch principal and staff began with a readers’ theater, “Horton Hears a Who!” Students then selected different reading stations that had “make ‘n take” activities. The evening ended with Principal Dominique Polchow reading a bedtime story.
