Successful third week at Wagner Elementary

Wagner Elementary School students, parents and staff members enjoyed another good week filled with good news. The Superintendent, Director of Transportation an ELD Coordinator enjoyed visiting classrooms on Monday, Sept. 14. The principal played football with upper grade students.

On Wednesday, Sept. 16, Mr. Hanna’s fourth grade class enjoyed a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) project by blasting off rockets in the upper grade playground.

On Thursday, Sept. 17, sixth grade parents received information about Outdoor Science by a guest speaker. The parent-teacher association (PTA) held a meeting, and Wagner teachers enjoyed presenting important information at Open House.

On Friday, Sept. 18, students earned rewards for positive WOW card behavior, and first grade students in Mrs. Goessling’s class enjoyed eating watermelon on watermelon writing day. WOW stands for “Wagner Outstanding Wildcat.” WOW cards are earned by students for following rules contained in our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program.
