Yorba Linda High School student Rayah Shapiro, 18, works on a painting at California State University, Fullerton, during a session with Ryman Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the artistic talents of young teens throughout Orange and Los Angeles counties by providing free arts education. Shapiro was recently a Nordstrom B.P Design Winner, where she designed a dress that was produced and carried in Nordstrom stores.

Congratulations to Yorba Linda High School senior Rayah Shapiro for being named the Orange County Register “Artist of the Week.” Rayah plans to pursue a career in fashion design. Last year, she began an educational program through Nordstrom, and one of her designs was ultimately selected to be sold in select Nordstrom stores.
