The Placentia Pony 11U Bulldogs baseball team recently won the International World Series in Chesterfield, Va. The team went undefeated during the tournament, finally beating Chesterfield, 12-1, to claim the crown. The Bulldogs finished with a 49-14-1 overall record, most of the season playing up against 12U opponents.
Representing the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) are students J.J. Conrad, sixth grader at Brookhaven Elementary School; Garvey Rumary, sixth grader at Yorba Linda Middle School; Blake Thomas, sixth grader at Yorba Linda Middle School; Nicco Nicoletti, sixth grader at Brookhaven Elementary School; Luca Fava, seventh grader at Tuffree Middle School; Mason Smith, sixth grader at Glenknoll Elementary School; Joshua Pugh, seventh grader at Tuffree Middle School; and Jayden Flaig, sixth grader at Golden Elementary School.
