Glenknoll community comes out for Placentia’s Heritage Day Parade

Glenknoll Elementary School parents, students and alumni joined Glen K. Cougar to march in the Placentia Heritage Day Parade on Saturday, Oct. 10. Despite the extreme weather, Glen was heard to comment, “It takes more than 100 degree weather and a furry coat to dampen Glenknoll’s spirit!”

The Glenknoll team marched in the parade to help promote the R.E.A.C.H. Foundation’s annual ShamRock ‘n’ Run in March 2016. Below, Glen holds the 2015 trophy that Glenknoll Elementary won for the highest percentage of participants from a PYLUSD school during last year’s race.

According to Glenknoll event organizer Cathy Saba, “Last year was just a trial run. Next year we are going to raise $1,000 for the R.E.A.C.H. Foundation.”
