Students from Yorba Linda High travel to Washington, D.C., for inauguration

Fourteen juniors and seniors from Yorba Linda High School took an independent field trip to Washington, D.C., for the 45th presidential inauguration. These students were also able to tour many monuments and museums in the capital during their visit, which took place from Jan. 18 through Jan. 22.

“The trip was one of the best experiences of my life,” said to YLHS social science teacher Lloyd Walls. “These are some of the most remarkable young people I’ve had the pleasure of teaching, and they represented our community and district with class, honor and civility.” Mr. Walls, in conjunction with WorldStrides Educational Student Travel, accompanied these students on his own time.
