Celebrating Chinese New Year – “The Year of the Rooster” – Rose Drive Elementary School first graders learned all about this important holiday. Making their own Chinese noise makers, complete with colorful streamers, students learned how to say “Happy New Year” in Chinese. Intent on sharing and spreading the happiness and prosperity associated with this festive tradition, students toured the campus on Friday, Jan. 27, showing off their noisemakers and proclaiming to all, “Xīnnián hǎo!”
