On Monday, September 18, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) observed Constitution Day (Sunday, September 17) to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution in Philadelphia on September 17, 1787.

Bryant Ranch School celebrated Constitution Day by having all students and staff sign the ‘Bryant Ranch Constitution,’ which hangs in the school office throughout the year.

The Bryant Ranch Constitution reads:

“We the people of Bryant Ranch School, in order to form a more perfect education, establish responsibility, provide for our common safety, promote general honesty, and secure peace to ourselves and our problem solvers, do ordain and establish this constitution for Bryant Ranch School.”

Lakeview Elementary School
was also in the Constitution Day spirit, as 4th and 5th grade students from Mrs. Sabio’s and Mrs. Bilhartz’s classes memorized and recited the Preamble to the Constitution for students and staff to hear.  To see a video of the Lakeview student’s reciting the Preamble, please click here or visit https://www.facebook.com/pylusd/videos/1690805164295419/.
