Garden Club at Glenknoll Elementary School

During the last few weeks, Glenknoll Elementary parent volunteers help teach students in the school’s Garden Club how to prepare soil for a Spring harvest.

Once a month during lunch time, students in grades 1-6 gather in the Glenknoll Garden to work on a gardening skills and tend to the garden’s needs.  Over the next few months, by using items grown in the school’s garden, the Cougars will have the opportunity to make homemade lemonade, Easter butter with herbs, and a Mother’s Day starter plant to take home.

These are just a few of the many activities that students will have the opportunity to participate in throughout the rest of the school year.  All throughout campus, students are very excited to get involved in the Glenknoll Garden Club!
