Nonprofit organization led by Valencia students collects and donates linens to local animals in need

Linens n Love students at VHS.

Linens N Love, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and club at Valencia High School (VHS), is entirely student-led and student-run.  The group collects blanket, towel, and sheet donations from high-end franchise hotels to donate them to local animal shelters in need.  After donating items, students often take tours of the shelters in order to form meaningful connections and gain insight into the organizations the students are helping.

Recently, the involved students were recognized by Allstate Insurance as a part of their “Good Starts Young” promotional campaign.  Allstate will have a camera crew follow Linens N Love around to film the club’s process of collecting donations and delivering them to the Irvine Animal Care Center.

In addition, the club’s youth leaders will be recognized for their efforts by the Yorba Linda City Council on February 20.
