Glenview classrooms received special visits from parents and community members for the school’s annual Community Read Aloud on Friday March 2, in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America Week.
Students enjoyed listening to a favorite story read aloud by a police officer, city librarian, kitchen clerk, nurse, and pharmacist, and hearing about why reading is important in their life and career. Glenview Scholars celebrated the power of reading all week long with special art activities about author Dr. Seuss.
“The MORE that you read, the MORE things you will know. The more that you learn, the MORE places you’ll go!” – Dr. Seuss
