Last month, Fairmont Elementary School’s first graders and their families gathered in the primary commons for Dr. Seuss Night, an event recognizing the author’s contributions to the literary world.
During the evening, students enjoyed participating in a variety of Dr. Seuss themed activities and listened to some of their favorite Seuss stories such as The Lorax and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Guest readers included PE teacher Mr. Babcock, librarian Mrs. Huble, vice principal Mrs. Mulcahy, and principal Mrs. Rex
“It was fun filled night for students and their families to celebrate Dr. Seuss,” first grade teacher, Mrs. Welch, shared.
The evening was enjoyed by all, and helped encourage a love of reading.
