Once again, the wonderful folks from the Coast to Coast Foundation of Fullerton presented scholarships to many Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) McKinney Vento students.
McKinney-Vento is a program for students who are living in a transitional situation. These students all wrote scholarship letters to ask for something they needed for school, such as school supplies, clothing, bedding, etc.
Students from Valencia High School, Melrose Elementary School, Kraemer Middle School, Morse Elementary School, and Topaz Elementary School were among the winners this round. Congratulations to all students who were awarded a mini scholarship!
Jon Matson, PYLUSD McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison, would like to extend a special thank you to the men and women of Coast to Coast Fullerton, and especially to Marie Avena and Mary Molle for their continued support of PYLUSD students.
