El Dorado coach honored as a “Coach of Character”

El Dorado High School tennis coach John Cyrus was recognized by the Orange County Athletic Directors Association (OCADA) as a coach of character on Monday night, Nov. 16, at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Mr. Cyrus is in his 41st year of coaching in PYLUSD, having also coached at Esperanza High School and Valencia High School. He has accumulated over 1,000 wins and 30 League championships.

The OCADA has recognized him for his integrity, character and commitment to excellence both on the tennis court and in the classroom.
