Glenview Elementary School second grader, Francisco Martinez, recently qualified for the USATF Hershey-2018 National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships being held in Greensboro, North Carolina from July 23 -29, 2018.
The Glenview Bulldog, who runs in the 800 meter race, had to qualify in both the USATF Junior Olympic SoCal Association Championships and the USATF Junior Olympic Region 15 Championships competing against Nevada, Hawaii, San Diego and Imperial. Impressively, Francisco had a qualifying time of 2:50.53 in the division of 8 & under!
