Rio Vista’s 5th grade students attend Outdoor Science Camp and receive donation from local non-profit

Seventy-six Rio Vista Elementary School 5th graders attended the Emerald Cove Outdoor Science Institute’s camp from November 28 to November 30 in Big Bear. The students’ learning adventure began as they prepared to leave their school for an educational, overnight experience.

“Thank you parents and community members for supporting this new 5th grade Rio Vista tradition,” said assistant principal, Guillermina Flores-Magana.

The Rio Vista Leopards also received a bag full of toiletries for their overnight experience from a local non-profit organization. Thank you to Vaishali Patel (Co-Director, I Support The Girls and Co-Director Filling Bags of Hope), Mita Bodar (Co-Director Filling Bags of Hope) and to their children Diya Shah from Yorba Linda High School, Alisha and Aron Bhavsar from Woodsboro Elementary School, and Anuj Bodar.

Rio Vista and PYLUSD so appreciate your kindness!
