Late last week, Yorba Linda High School conducted a two-day anti-bullying program called, “I’ve Got Your Back,” hosted by the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE).
The program featured two components: a training for students and teachers to become “Ambassadors of Change” for the school, and an assembly with retired Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Mark Muñoz.
Muñoz spoke about his personal experiences dealing with bullies as a teenager, and how the support he received from his family and friends played an integral part in inspiring him to rise above it to become the successful, respected person he is today.
