On Friday October 11, Representative Gil Cisneros of California Congressional District 39, who serves the city of Yorba Linda, visited Yorba Linda High School’s campus for their football game. Representative Cisneros spoke with the football team, cheer and song, and performing arts students before the school’s home game versus Brea Olinda High School. The Mustang football team went on to win the game 47-7 to advance their record to 7-1.
Recently, Cisneros spoke on the House Floor regarding the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District’s high AP exam pass rate which ranks among the top in the nation. Last school year, Yorba Linda High School administered 1,002 AP exams in 27 subjects, increasing the Mustangs’ pass rate to 91.02% from 88.22% from last year. The Mustangs had the highest pass rate in PYLUSD last school year.
