To celebrate Red Ribbon Week and show their love for living a healthy lifestyle, Van Buren Elementary School students and staff stood in the shape of a heart after lunch on Thursday, October 24. At the center of the heart, students spelled out “NO DRUGS” with their clothing.
Principal Connie Roe used this impromptu school gathering to present recently retired Van Buren clerk, Debbie Parker, with a beautiful plaque to celebrate her 30 years working at Van Buren Elementary School. It was a very meaningful way to end a wonderful week!
