On Monday, October 20, Van Buren Elementary School launched its Red Ribbon Week festivities with an engaging BMX assembly. Students from Transitional Kindergarten through sixth grade participated in a weeklong celebration centered on promoting healthy, drug-free lifestyles.
As part of the observance, each student contributed an original piece of artwork to create a large collaborative poster, which now adorns classroom doors across campus as a symbol of unity and commitment to making positive choices. The highlight of the week was an energetic BMX performance that combined thrilling stunts with important lessons about resilience, goal-setting, and the value of staying drug-free.
