Brookhaven third graders donate to McKinney-Vento

Third graders from Brookhaven Elementary School came through again for the district’s McKinney-Vento program. Students from Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Lindley and Mrs. Torres’ classes collected peanut butter, jelly, chicken soup, pasta and other packaged foods to help their fellow PYLUSD students. The students enthusiastically donated their items to Jon Matson, the McKinney-Vento liaison for PYLUSD.

Jon commented on the continuing relationship with Brookhaven third graders: “We love collaborating with teachers and students to help fill up our urgent-need food pantry. What a difference it makes in the lives of our less fortunate students. Thank you so much Brookhaven third graders, and, of course, your teachers and parents!”
