Bernardo Yorba Middle and Parkview School team up to prepare for PYLUSD Middle School Track Meet

Bernardo Yorba Parkview Middle Track Meet 3-5-2020

Students at Bernardo Yorba Middle School are preparing for this year’s Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) middle school track meet. Sponsored by the REACH Foundation, the track meet has become a centerpiece for building school pride and a positive community at Bernardo.

This year, Bernardo has paired up with Parkview School, the District’s K-12 home school program, to provide a place for students to practice and improve their performance. It has been a great experience having students build bonds between campuses. The track meet provides a wonderful opportunity for students to try out competitive athletics and build camaraderie with each other.

This year’s track meet will take place on Wednesday, March 25, at Nathan Shapell Memorial Stadium at Yorba Linda High School. Student athletes from the District’s seven middle schools will compete against each other in events like high jump, long distance running, long jump, sprints, and more. It will include the Matadors of Bernardo Yorba, the Cubs of Kraemer, the Panthers of Parkview, the Trailblazers of Travis Ranch, the Falcons of Tuffree, the Eagles of Valadez, and the Bobcats of Yorba Linda.

Following each event, medals and ribbons will be awarded to the top three finishers. The PYLUSD Middle School Track Meet would not be made possible without the generosity of the REACH Foundation, an all-volunteer, education focused, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization in benefit of PYLUSD students district-wide.
