On Tuesday, August 31, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) welcomed over 24,000 students to the 2021-2022 school year for full-time in-person instruction. Students of all ages–transitional kindergarten through 12th grade–were joyful while meeting new teachers and staff members, reuniting with friends, and beginning a new year of learning unlike any other!
“Although this school year will look different than years past, be assured that we remain committed to being a dynamic and supportive learning community that prepares each and every student for success now and in the future,” shared Superintendent Dr. Jim Elsasser in his welcome message to students, staff, and families. “I wish you all of the very best during this new school year.” If you missed Dr. Elsasser’s welcome message, read it now at www.pylusd.org/apps/news/article/1482292.
