Travis Ranch HOSA students host schoolwide food drive to benefit homeless families in PYLUSD

Throughout the month of November, Travis Ranch School’s HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) class and chapter conducted a food drive to benefit the district’s McKinney Vento food pantry.

In total, the Trailblazers donated 1,397 items to help families in need during the holiday season. Mr. Jon Matson, the district’s Homeless Liaison, was able to visit the students to speak to them about the services the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District provides for families experiencing homelessness and to see all 32 boxes of items!

HOSA, which is both an elective and student organization at Travis Ranch, is dedicated to promoting careers in the healthcare industry.

  1. Thank you Travis Ranch HOSA for all of the canned items you sent to our McKinney Vento pantry. Awesome work!
