Valencia High School hosted its annual Future Ready Day on November 12. On this day, every student on campus made one step toward their future college and career goals. Seniors worked on college applications for UC, Cal State, Common App, and community colleges. Seniors also had the opportunity to work on Financial Aid applications, meet with members of the military, and spend time with counselors to discuss career readiness.
Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors listened to career speakers through Zoom. Guest speakers represented a wide variety of professions and students were able to select the career speakers that interested them most. Future Ready Day concluded with a senior BBQ celebration.
Senior Joshua Hockman elated, “Thank you for providing this opportunity to work on my applications… I needed it!”
Future Ready day is a representation of Valencia High School’s commitment to all students’ future success. Valencia thanks their community partners for their collaboration to make this event possible.
