Kindergartners from Lakeview Elementary took their first field trip to the Yorba Linda Public Library on February 2. Students enjoyed their ride on the big yellow school bus before taking part in an engaging and interactive story time as their first activity onsite.
The kids had the chance to learn how to check out books, use the “I Changed My Mind” cart, and care for books they want to borrow. After finding books they loved, many of the kindergartners received their very first library card while others brought theirs from home.
Teachers at Lakeview encourage students that have not yet checked out books to visit the Yorba Linda Public Library soon so they can build their love for reading as the kindergartners did on their fun-filled library day.
