Bryant Ranch School has an innovative STEM and Tinker Lab that was created and designed by 4th-grade teacher, Jill McClain. First-grade students have taken advantage of utilizing the Tinker Lab on several occasions. The students have made 3D geoboards on pumpkins to make 2D shapes, designed and produced a cage for a bear, and built the tallest snowman. Teachers use literature as a ‘spring board’ for each STEM lesson. Then, the 1st graders use a variety of materials to complete the task and share their results with the class. They enjoy the time spent in the Tinker Lab!
