El Dorado High School is proud to announce the hiring of its new girls’ varsity head basketball coach Matt Raya. Coach Raya has been a member of the Rosary High School coaching staff since 1997. Beyond that, he is a Golden Hawk through and through. His father, Joe Raya, was a long-time employee of EDHS and the gym is named in his honor. His brother, Gary Raya, was also the girls basketball coach before his untimely death in 1995 from a rare heart condition. Coach Matt Raya is an alumus of the school. The Golden Hawks are excited to welcome him back!
