George Key School and Venture Academy Principal Rebecca Allan has been selected to receive the Alumna of the Year Award from the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). She will be honored for her work in mentoring college students and her efforts surrounding language and literacy with students with complex needs. The awards ceremony will take place on May 5, 2022.
Principal Allan obtained her Master of Arts in Communicative Disorders from CSUF. As a speech-language pathologist, she has worked with students from 18 months through adult transition programs. According to CSUF, she teaches undergraduate courses as an adjunct faculty for the department and inspires many students to achieve their goal of becoming SLPs.
