Fairmont Elementary School just wrapped its play, The Lion King Jr., at the district’s Performing Arts Center (PAC). There were 194 students in the cast. Fairmont partnered with Harrison Zierer and Center Stage Theater. It was a roaring success!
Anti-bullying assembly
Students in grades one through six participated in an anti-bullying assembly titled “One” with author Kathryn Otoshi. The assembly was presented by the Orange County Department of Education. This week, students made handprints that will be used to construct a giant 3-D falcon. This sculpture will hang at Fairmont to remind students of the anti-bullying lessons they shared and learned.
Afterschool enrichment
Afterschool enrichment at Fairmont begins in February for students who participate. They can choose from Legos, chess, hip-hop and tennis.
