Transitional Kindergarten Students at Van Buren Elementary School Explore Insects

Van Buren Elementary School’s transitional kindergarten class has started their insect unit! The young students are learning a lot while acting like little scientists in goggles and lab coats. They are observing various insects such as ants, insects, and ladybug larvae. While observing, they are discussing what they see and also drawing diagrams of what they are observing.

“These students are engaged and are so excited when they get to go to the science station,” shared teacher Alex Gauthier. “It has been the most popular station for learning centers!”
