On Friday, October 8, the Placentia Fire and Life Safety Department visited the transitional kindergarten classes of Mrs. Gomez & Mrs. Zunigabravo, the kindergarten classes of Mrs. Laporte, Ms. Page and Mrs. Scott and the K/1 SDC class of Mr. Ukes at Van Buren Elementary School.
To students’ delight, the firefighters discussed the importance of fire safety and showed off their important equipment for fighting fires and helping the community. Some students were also able to sit inside the fire truck. Overall, the visit from the Placentia Fire Department was very popular and informative.
