Sarah Hoffman is a 2024 Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Teacher of the Year! Sarah serves as a second grade teacher at Glenknoll Elementary School in Yorba Linda. This video recaps the day PYLUSD executive leadership members and her colleagues surprised her with the news.
“Sarah Hoffman is a person of great integrity who influences others to be their very best. She is a leader on campus who advocates for children,” shared Principal Terry Mulcahy. “Beside being an incredible teacher who meets the unique learning needs of all her students, she initiated a program to train and manage a group of 20 students who lead playground games at recess. This program not only gives our younger students safe and healthy options for play at recess but also builds leadership skills within the older student leaders.”
