Yorba Linda High School senior, Hunaina Hirji, recently made waves at the Orange County Film Festival, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication to the craft of filmmaking. Organized by the FilmEd Academy of the Arts, this prestigious event celebrates the creativity and innovation of young filmmakers from across Orange County.
Out of an impressive pool of approximately 300 submissions, Hunaina stood out with a remarkable total of 15 individual nominations across five different films. Her remarkable achievements were recognized on Friday, April 5th, as she received awards for Best Editing, Best Story, Best Sound Design, and the prestigious title of Filmmaker of the Year.
Hunaina’s success extends beyond the realm of filmmaking, she serves as a Mustang Business Academy Student, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit, and as the Mustang Mix Executive Producer in the school’s esteemed Video Production Program. Additionally, her role as the California FBLA State Vice President underscores her commitment to excellence and leadership in academic and extracurricular pursuits.
Her achievements, dedication, creativity, and leadership exemplify the spirit of Yorba Linda High School, making her a shining example of success in both academics and the arts. Way to go Mustang!
