Discovering Science is a hands-on traveling science museum offered to the kindergarten through sixth grade students at Parkview School. It is a fee-based program open to all those interested. Parkview’s resident scientist, Mr. Fogg, holds classes every Wednesday to an enthusiastic and exuberant group of students. February’s sessions were all physics-related. Students entered the physics fun lab, explored Isaac Newton’s laws of motion and built their very own hydro-powered boats. They also experienced physics in flight by flying a magic ring. And, by constructing a tower, they tested the laws of physics by learning about the science of engineering. This class opens young minds to the opportunity and experiences in the world of science. Parkview is very fortunate to have Mr. Fogg and Discovering Science on its campus.
