On Tuesday, October 1, Venture Academy celebrated the grand opening of The Venture Coffee Cats. It was a wonderful morning for gathering, enjoying coffee, tea, or pumpkin hot chocolate, and chatting in the beautiful garden of George Key School. The event was attended by members of the Board of Education and district leadership.
Venture Academy is bridging classroom learning with real-world experiences, helping students build pathways to fulfilling careers and independence. Aligned with Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District’s theme of “Every Student, Every Day,” Venture Academy proudly offers students valuable hands-on work experience through their newest student-run business, The Venture Coffee Cats.
The name and logo—fully designed by students—reflect their creativity and commitment. From brewing coffee and assembling cups to taking orders, serving customers, and managing operations, students take charge of every aspect of running the business. Community members are invited to stop by on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 8 to 9 AM for a fresh Coffee Cats cup! Way to go, Bobcats!
