Each year, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) elementary, middle, and high schools proudly join the nation in celebrating Red Ribbon Week, the largest drug prevention program in the country. This week-long event is dedicated to promoting healthy choices and a drug-free lifestyle among our students, encouraging them to embrace positive life decisions.
Since its establishment in 1988, Red Ribbon Week has empowered students nationwide to take a stand against drug use. Each year, a new theme brings fresh inspiration, prompting schools across PYLUSD to organize engaging activities such as youth forums, health lessons, Spirit Day events, BMX assemblies, and creative art projects. Through these activities, students are reminded of the importance of living a healthy, drug-free life in a supportive and fun environment.
Red Ribbon Week continues to be a meaningful tradition in PYLUSD, helping students build healthy habits and make positive choices that will last a lifetime.
