Cinderella’s Closet Brings Formalwear to Adult Transition Students Empowering Confidence Through Style

Students in the Venture Academy and George Key adult transition programs recently had the opportunity to select formal attire in preparation for an upcoming dance, thanks to the generosity of Cinderella’s Closet. This nonprofit organization provides formal dresses, shoes, and accessories to young women, enabling them to enjoy memorable events with confidence and style.

The effort was made possible through the support of community volunteer Linda Badillo, who served as the district’s liaison with Cinderella’s Closet. Physical Therapist Jennifer Godown, volunteer Sarah Bekrar Allan, Principal Rebecca Allan, and Ms. Badillo worked together to assist students in choosing dresses that reflected their individual tastes and preferences.

The event, themed Haute Couture, will take place on May 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the multipurpose room at Lakeview Elementary School. Students and staff alike are eagerly anticipating an evening of fashion, celebration, and community.
