Linda Vista Lions Roar to New Heights, Shining Brighter Than Ever!

During the final trimester of the academic year, Linda Vista Elementary concluded with a series of meaningful celebrations and notable accomplishments. Among these, Julia Beresford, a valued member of the school’s support staff, was honored with the esteemed Cal State Fullerton Alumni Award. This recognition highlights her exceptional work as a Speech Pathologist and her unwavering commitment to supporting colleagues within the field.

In addition, seven fifth-grade students from Linda Vista demonstrated remarkable ingenuity in the Orange County Makers Challenge. Tasked with designing or reinventing a product that addresses a real-world issue, meets a practical need, or brings joy, the students utilized the school’s 3D printing technology to develop innovative solutions. Their projects included the Clutch Crutch for enhanced mobility, the potentially life-saving Outer Airbag, the multifunctional Thermal Carrier, and the TROD—a drone designed to intelligently sort trash, recycling, and organic waste.

The school year concluded on a joyful note as students, families, and staff came together for Linda Vista’s beloved annual Family Picnic—an event that fostered connection, community, and celebration to mark a successful year.

Echoing the words of A.A. Milne, Linda Vista encourages all students to remember: “You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” The school remains steadfast in its mission to empower students to dream big, reach high, and shine brightly in all they do.
