On June 6, a beloved tradition continued at Valencia High School as the seniors in Mrs. Wendy Umekubo’s class took center stage during break to perform their annual dance. After months of rehearsals and preparation, the students delivered a lively and heartfelt routine in front of the entire student body—one final memory shared together before graduation.
This year’s performance held extra meaning, as it marked the final dance under the direction of Mrs. Umekubo, who will be retiring at the end of the school year. Her dedication to students and commitment to building a strong sense of community through tradition has left a lasting impact on campus.
At Valencia High, traditions like this reflect the heart and spirit of the school. As the seniors danced one last time and Mrs. Umekubo prepared to close this chapter of her career, the moment stood as a celebration of lasting memories and the deep pride shared by the VHS community.
