On Tuesday, August 26 the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) proudly welcomed over 22,500 students for the first day of the 2025-2026 school year.
Excitement and anticipation filled the air across all campuses. Students of all ages eagerly reunited with friends, met their new teachers and staff, and embarked on another year of growth and learning!
In preparation for the new year, Superintendent Dr. Allan Mucerino shared this message with staff and families: “Thank you for joining us in making this school year one filled with joy, positivity, and success. I can’t wait to see the incredible things our students will accomplish in 2025–2026—because together, we are inspiring excellence in Every Student, Every Day.”
